Debbie Dannheisser

Debbie Dannheisser is widely known for her paintings revealing intense balances between light and color. Her paintings reveal unique impressionistic and brilliantly lighted landscapes and vivid and bold abstracts. Her aesthetic choices are intuitive and inspired by her exploration of beauty and emotion. Debbie explains that “As I experiment with colors, textures, and lighting I work to take us beyond what we see with our eyes and into the in-between spaces of our emotional and spiritual world around us”

For more than 30 years Debbie’s rich and brilliant colored paintings have been featured in distinguished galleries and artist centers in the southeast United States and showcased extensively in an array of esteemed magazines and publications. While honored to have been invited to study under an impressive list of acclaimed artists and institutions she is proud and widely respected for her years of work as a self-taught artist contributing to her unique and evocative works.

Artist Statement:

My paintings offer mirrors into the magic and mystery of beauty and emotion. With each canvas, I quiet my mind, let everything go, and allow my intuition and inspiration to guide me. As I experiment with colors, textures, and lighting I work to take us beyond what we see with our eyes and into the in-between spaces of our emotional and spiritual world around us. I believe that this is the glue to our senses of joy, peace and our connection to each other.
