Join us for a three day Studio Pop-up and Summer Exhibition featuring Linda Richichi. Linda will set up her studio and work in the gallery July 26 through 28 and the Exhibition Opening Reception will take place Friday, July 26th from 6 to 9PM.

About Linda

Linda Richichi, nationally acclaimed Sarasota-based artist, paints landscape scenes featuring vibrant, energetic colors and layers of texture from loose brushstrokes, often teetering the line between abstract art and contemporary impressionism. Niki Kottmann from Your Observer wrote, “Richichi wants to demonstrate the positive healing energy of nature that brings her to a meditative state.” The paintings presented in this exhibition will be a sneak preview of the body of work Linda is working on for the upcoming season.

After graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from SUNY, Richichi received a scholarship from the Pastel Society of America to attend the Art Students League in New York City. Linda quickly found national acclaim as a portrait painter, but in 2001 she felt a calling for the wild. She turned to Plein Air painting, as she found that Mother Nature was the healing energy she needed to recover from deeply resonating personal loss. Linda now calls Sarasota home, while taking trips around the United States and Europe to paint.

Richichi says, “I work to capture both what is seen and what is not seen. With intuition leading the way, when on location I allow what I feel to override what I see. With years and years of classical training under my belt, my hand can easily follow my heart creating a work of art that not only represents the scene but also allows the soul of the place to come forth.”
